Hi all I'm new to this, I'm currently 26 weeks + 1 and I think I'm dehydrated and I can't keep nothing down! What to do?!😭

Do you have a sickness bug or do you have extreme morning sickness? I'd call NHS 24 and see what they say. I had a sickness bug with my second and they checked me over but said I'd be ok if it passed in another 12 hours. But then I know people with hyperemesis who were hospitalised and put on a drop in hospital due to dehydration from extreme sickness x

I have hyperemesis, if I get too dehydrated I need to go in to get fluids. If you have ketones in your urine you also really need the IV to be able to flush them out your system though you technically get them when your body is in starvation mode
So depends if it's a short term bug or HG and how long it's been. Once you get IV fluids you should feel a bit better, in combination with the anti sickness medication I was able to start hydrating myself, was recommended lucazade sport as I still can't keep down plain old water and get essential electrolytes and glucose from the lucazade, has to be the sport one not the fizzy one but I suppose you need to be able to find your 'safe' drink to be able to get rehydrated properly so drink what you are able to keep down.

I have hg too. There's a really good support group on Facebook that i found helpful

The American one serves UK too. Women from all over the world are on it

Yeah I'm already on it but I hid it from my feed as it was frustrating me that the American girls seemed to be getting so much better care and access to what they needed to control the HG whereas our NHS is so behind they just leave you to suffer.

Yes i feel Americans are better prepared and they have better drugs and have IVs at home etc BUT their employers are mainly very unsupportive and so many women lose their jobs and are in financial hardship. My employers are very understanding so i have been lucky
