I have heard that the new rules is you can get 2 weeks paternity pay and the 1st full 3 days off is paid at FULL pay as opposed to SMP.

Is this correct? And if so can anyone put me in the right direction in finding this facts?

Thanks

That sounds like a company specific benefit.

SPP is up to 2 weeks (but you can not take odd days, it needs to be either one whole week or two whole weeks) and is currently £117.18 a week.

Get your OH to ask his employer as they may have an enhanced benefits package (and at any rate he will need to advise them of his intention to take paternity leave no later than the 15th week before your estimated due date).
