considering a 4d scan..

been online and seen a company not too far from me that does 4d scans, with pictures and dvds etc. Has anyone else had one of these? is it worth the money? xxx

Most people seem to get them after 27 weeks or so for best results. We went to baby bond and got a growth check plus a free 4d preview, this is what we saw at 24 weeks:

I think people wait us so that the features get more defined xx

sarah13 you dont hava as long to wait as i have lol!!! i have been setting up milestones to get through the pregnancy, first scan, midwife, 12 week scan, 20 week scan, now i have another one to look forward to at 26/27 weeks! yeah!!!!

If at all possible hold out as long as you can till you are 24-28 weeks, that way your baby has built up some fat and won't look too skeletal, we went for a gender scan and had a 4d preview but being so early on he was still pretty skinny and it wouldn't give you an acurate picture of what they look like x

I had one at 26 wks, it was amazing! I wish I'd waited 2 weeks more because they say they start putting on fat at 28 wks, I think she looks a bit on the thin side in the pics

Thanks ladies!! I will hold out as long as possible, or maybe trick OH into having 2 if i cant last!! They do package deals at the one near me so it works out quite good value for money to have a couple done....will def try to wait until 28 weeks though so the peanut is a chubby little thing!

I do that too! We had a private scan at 10 weeks, some companies do a package so you can have a few scans. They tried the 4d part at 10 weeks but wasn't that good at this point, rest of it was great though and meant my hubby got to come as he was away for 12 week one.
