Has anyone used colief??
Does it actually work?
HOw do you manage because you have to put the drops in and wait half hour, my lo wont wait 5mins for a feed
Ive been using this, and at about day 10 we've started noticing a difference... AND we havent had a crying fit now for 3 days! im praying its the colief making a difference
Ive neevr been 'very strict' wioth rules when it comes to making bottles, so i just make 2 bottles very 6 hours, adding the drops when the water has cooled, and leaving for half an hour, till they will be needed anyway. (i always make bottle up in advance) - we havent had a problem so far.
If it is the colief working, then id give it atleast a week-10 days till it kicks in, as thats whats happened with us.
I found Infacol to be great but then I changed to a homeopathic remedy called colocynthis granules and they worked great. I haven't used them in a week but think we need to stsart again as he is getting ratty at night again.
As for Colief, it made Connie really mardy and she got terrible diarrhoea. The doctor said sone babies don't agree with it. I'd rather put up with constant colic than an ill baby!
We've been using Infacol since Week 1 so I'm not sure what kind of an effect it's having. Not stopping it though ha ha.
Well we used colief in three feeds and have now stopped it seems to make her sick but its not normal milky sick and so she was choking on it, so back to infacol, and gripe water although not sure whether you can use these two together or not
Morgan is BF so i put 5ml of EBM in a syringe and add the drops then give to him, If you mix the colief with only 5ml of milk u dont need to wait 1/2 hour. Dr and HV both told me this and it worked for us!
we have used coleif up until a few weeks ago. When I was Bfing I used to express some milk and add the colief to it in a bottle. When we went on to 100% formula I just used to add it when I was making up the bottle, so about 5-10 mins before giving it to Jenna. Always worked fine. WE had tried infacol which did nothing for her. GP was happy to write prescription for colief which was fortunate as its £10 a bottle!
