Clothes question *updated with pic - what do u think?*

Is it alright to wear black trousers and a black jacket at a christening if all my accessories (earrings, necklace, belt etc) are silver so they stand out?

I think it looks nice and MIL and SIL said they're wearing mostly black too. We have to stand in front of 80 people though so I need to look ok!

Aaah i just remembered i have a Christening to go to on Sunday and i have nothing to wear at all! Cant really go in jeans or with my trousers undone Cant really afford to buy anything new either.

I think black will be fine to wear to a christening.

Im gonna get a white top to go underneath the jacket maybe with a bit of silver in it to go with my other silver bits lol.

Im going on Sunday too Flame but Im Godmother so Im gonna be at the front and I have to speak

I hate things like this too, I always feel like everyones looking at me. Everyone always looks nice and I always end up wearing black

Yeah I feel quite comfortable. The trousers arent too tight and I doubt I'll get any bigger by Sunday so it should be fine!

You look fabulous! It's lovely you're making this much effort and I'm sure you will be the smartest one there. If it helps any, I went to a christening recently, and people there were dressed church/Sunday smart, not wedding smart, so you will easily be one of the smartest people there.
