Claiming maternity allowance

I'm just over 25 weeks pregnant and have been self employed paying class 2 NI for 2.5 years.
I assume I am entitled to the full MA rate(or I hope i am)
How do I claim? When do I claim? And when do payments start?

U need to ring job centre plus Hun u can start a claim now and can get payments from 29 weeks! I'm not sure how u work out how much u will get as ur self employed! Hope this helps x
