Anyone know of any good deals? I looked at comparison websites but am confused. They look cheap and then when you go to the deal it adds on more.

We currently have unlimited bb, which we'd like to keep. Don't really use phone much. I think we pay about 12.50pm line and 25pm bb.

Trying to cut costs. Already with sky for telly and new deals don't apply to existing customers. Always pisses me off!

Understand this is a boring thread lol bit just incase anyone knows of anything, would appreciate any help/suggestions.

Thanks

Which network provider did you go for on your mobile? 02 and Orange offer a discount for broadband and line rental for existing customers :) x

we are with primus, just under £23 for unlimited broadband, free wifi and free evening and weekend calls x

I'm a sky customer I called them yesterday and they offered me £12.50 line rental to take over my BT line and unlimited BB for 7.50 a month, free for 6 months. I took it!

We're with Bt for calls and broadband I don't think we're getting the best deals tbh I just like them cause they're reliable.

As for your sky, call them and say your moving to virgin as they've offered you a better deal, unless they can make your bill cheaper. The call centre staff are aloud to give customers a deal if they're going to leave!
My OH did that with ours & weve got movies and sport free for 12 months and a reduction in our bill from 37 to 23 :-) Might help with saving you some cash.

Using tapatalk so excuse the typos!

To phone and broadband companies, getting you to stay is worth 3 new customers, its a HUGE part of their business model getting existing customers to stay with them after their contract period. Go on their website and fine out the 'new customer' deal you like. OR just decide you'd like half price line rental, or maybe just agree with your OH that you dont want to spend more than X per month on your tv phone and broadband.

Ring them up and press the option for "if youre thinking of leaving us" DO NOT speak to any other operator, you have to get through to the disconnection dept. These people have a target to keep to, a certain percentage of their calls they have to convince stay. They are given more freedom to give better offers than the regular operators. Start the call by asking if you leave will you incur any fines. They'll ask you why you want to leave, explain youre trying to reduce your outgoings and you've seen a certain special offer with another company. They'll ask if youre a happy customer and if theres anything they can do to convince you to stay, say that you've been very happy and if it werent for the price you really wouldnt be considering leaving at all, you'll be put on hold (so that he can get authorisation from his manager to offer a certain deal) then he'll come back and offer you a deal equivalent to the deal you described or worse than it. Dont be pulled in, say that no thats no better than the deal youve seen, (always say no to the first offer) then you'll go on hold again, he'll come back and offer a better deal, say "ummmmm... as if youre thinking about it" ask him to explain again, make any observations like "free minutes dont really appeal as we dont use the phone too much" once you've got a great deal, ask if they can credit your account (you think youve seen a cashback deal for new customers for the other company!) you'll get it, by this stage you've been on hold twice, he's invested a lot of time, he NEEDS you to stay.

Feels really cheeky, be very hesitant, play dumb, be prepared to say why you dont like a certain offer, but be polite about it. Im a pro, I pay £21 for my mobile with unlimited texts, internet and 900 anytime minutes, and I pay £15 for my talktalk phone and broadband package. and I got £20 credit on both accounts when I renewed them. I havent done it myself but Im told it works for gas/electric companies.

good luck!

oh and you dont have to accept a contract over 12 months, they'll all try and say for 24 or 18 months, tell them thats such a long time youre feeling hesitant to sign up to it until youve discussed it with your husband. They cannot let you put that phone down without agreeing to it, so they'll just offer a 12 month contract.

Wow thanks ladies! Titch that's so helpful thank you. Am gonna give it a blast tmrw. I saw a great sky deal and then entered post code and is said not in our area :wall2: seem to get that bit online checking when it's not like we're in the sticks!

Have also noticed compare sites say x amount but always excl the line rental.

Really trying to cut costs atm.
