bottle bank full!!!

just been to the bottle bank to recycle my weekly bottles to find the white glass skip full to the brim

They want you to recycle but why don't they flaming well empty the skips then
I ended up having to go elsewhere.

I phoned the number to let them know the skips were full and they couldn't understand why i was so miffed.

No we don't! Which makes me all the more pee'd off
Our council makes my ass urn it really does.
It provides us with a fooking blue recycling bin but you can't put fook all in it!!! We have a list a foot long telling us we can't put this and that in
No yoghurt pots or margarine pots but you can put milk cartons in it
Then to top it all off the most recyclable thing namely glass can't be put in and its not even collected!
Its a fooking joke!

Trouble is i feel so guilty throwing glass away when it can be recycled which is why i go to the bottle banks. But to find them full and bottles spilling out etc makes me so angry.
Why the heck people just don't call the number on the banks god only knows!

God im so angry - hubbys in for it when he gets home bless him

we dont even have a paper bin here any more I hate putting card and paper in the bin and wine bottles, it does my head in but we dont have collections and we dont have room to save things and take them later

on one week its plastics and garden rubbish the other week it tins and bottles (glass)

There was a story in my local paper a couple of weeks ago about someone who had been fined for leaving a box of clean, empty bottles next to the skip because it was full. She was caught & fined £50 for littering!

We get recycling bags collected every other week, but you can't put glass or drinks cartons in them. Garden waste is collected in the green bin the alternate week.

We get a brown bin for recycleables such as paper & plastics,
But like budge says you have a list of loads of stuff you can't put in it, you can put plastic bottles in but not the lids and have to take the plasctic lid ring off, also if you have evelopes with the clear plastic window you have to take that out before recycling.

If we want our garden stuff (which is not allowed in the normal bins at all) you have to pay extra for the garden refuge to come and pick it up.
