my parents always hav a bonfire every year, and lotsa fireworks and my mum cooks loadsa yummy food.

iv been every year (except maybe when i was 17/18 i mightve been out at a club or something) and i always enjoy it.

its in their back garden, they hav chairs and tables out on the patio, and a gazebo thing in case it rains; but if its freezing u can watch from the conservatory where its cosier (and safer, if i had milliepops!)

dont kno whether to even go this year tho, with milliepops in her bedtime routine and everyting. it usually starts at 7/8-ish, which is her bed-time.

My parents have a bonfire party every year also and this year i will be watching the fireworks from the bedroom window with Leif.

With Millie being in a routine its up to you whether you decide to watch the fireworks with her or put her to bed, but its going to be pretty noisy so she might not sleep anyway.

we took Jam to the firework display on the common last yr and he loved it, he was only 3mths at most but he just sat in our arms watchin them go off without flinchin!!

def takin him again this yr! :D

i think maybe watchin them with her from inside would be alright then put her to bed, only thing is theyre really noisy!!

When Lydia was a baby for her first firework night we took her to our local display and she was fine.

Then last year, when she was 13 months old, we took her to a display and she freaked out. It was the loud bangs - she totally flipped and was terrified!

This year we're going to have some fireworks at home and see what happens. Alex is only little so I doubt he'll be bothered, and Lydia now is old enough to understand it better so I hope she'll be less scared.

We're going to a display with Austin but we're bringing his ear protectors in case it's too loud.

I think it depends on how strict you are with her bedtime routine, if she's going to get tired & cry all night if you miss her bedtime you're probably better off putting her to bed first. Maybe your parents could set off a few small ones early for Millie to see before bed?

I would say go & watch from the coneservatory, take a babygro with you, and once the fireworks finish (or before if she's grumpy & tired) just do the bedtime routine at your mum's and when you get home you then only have to transfer her into her own bed

I would go and watch from inside. We are having fireworks in our back garden this year and I will stand inside with Jake and watch them through the window. My family are coming over too and we are having hotdogs, burgers and mugs of soup :D We will be having the fireworks at about 7pm by the way and Jake will be in bed by about 8pm which is only an hour later than usual anyway. If Millie gets tired you can always put her to bed at your Mums until you go home.

i voted dont go hun but becausets thats the decision i have made, i am not going to a bonfire because of Hannahs bedtime routine, i have spent so long getting her into it i am not spoiling it for one night that i dont think she will enjoy due to the noise anyway

I voted Go but sleep there. However if it is your parents doing it, I would ask them to start an hour earlier. It will be plenty dark enough. That way Millie could see the display, and then put her to bed their, so that you enjoy the rest of the evening.

We didn't go to a display last year, but Ellie did enjoy watching them in the sky when they were going off, when we got home one evening. We are taking her to one near my parents this year, however it starts at 6pm so she won't be too late to bed, and we are staying over at my parents, so we don't have to drive home with her afterwards (it is 1hrs + drive).

I'd go :) We have a bedtime routine and the thought of not following it makes me feel panicky sometimes BUT you can't let it rule your life. So this weekend (weather permitting) Im going to one in the village :)

i would go. we have a routine at bed time, but we allow it to be broken for special occasions like these.

could you ask your parents to start maybe half hour earlier than normal tho?
