Following are some tips which will help you to control your blood pressure:
1. Lose your extra pounds and also watch your waistline, as it is found that blood pressure often increases as the weight increase.
2. Exercise regularly. Individual should do exercise at least 30 to 60 minutes as it helps to lower your blood pressure.
3. Eat healthy and balanced diet. You diet should include whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products and skimps on saturated fat and cholesterol can lower your blood pressure by up to 14 mm Hg.
4. Reduce the use of sodium in your diet.
5. Make a limit in the intake of alcohol.
6. Avoid tobacco products and secondhand smoke.
7. Cut back on intake of caffeine
8. Examine your blood pressure regularly.
