We decided to take Riley to hospital earlier tonight, as we were worried about a few things that had developed over the day. 
-he developed a red "pin-pricky" rash this afternoon
-his cry is different, like he is uncomfy/in pain
-the last 2 times he filled his nappy, there was black streaks in amongst the poop
I was SO worried, you see rashes, the first thing that entered my head was things like meningitis
but the doc said it just looks like a heat rash, and that the black stuff is meconium. she said it may also be a wee bit of colic, because his temp etc is OK.
has anyone else had this? it seems weird to me that she thinks meconium is coming out now.....he is nearly 4 weeks old! I thought it was only when they are in the womb/newborns?
