Hi all,

Sam is really lively and active and advancing well both mentally and physically, however, once every few days, he'll completely zone out and stare into space for maybe 10 seconds. If I call his name or wave my hand in front of his face he doesn't respond and is away with the fairies.

I mentioned it to the HV visitor and she said hes probably just day dreaming, but I'm concerned about possible silent seizures.

Does anyone else experience this with their babes?

Thanks
Lisa

One of the ladies at a playgroup I used to go to had the same with her daughter who is just a bit younger than Isaac. Her daughter was very sleepy aswell as having what her mum thought were 'absenses' and a possible sign of epilepsy. She was sent for an eeg and that came back normal so she was just day dreaming after all and her sleepiness was probably a growth spurt. My nephew has epilepsy and he has absenses but he actually nods his head forward when he has them.

You don't have to go with the HV's advice. Go to your GP.
