Baby Bank/Savings Account

I'm trying to find somewhere to open a Savings Account for LO and everywhere I look thay have to be over 7.

I know we can Premium Bonds for her but was hoping to have an account that we could do a direct debit into each month.

Any ideas anyone??

I thought most banks would do it. I opened one for Z when he was born in lloyds TSB, I pay money in every month. I chose there because I have a savings account there xxx

That's what thought Zasu but she has to be 7 for it to be in her name.

Will just have to go ahead with one on my name for now!

Usually you just hold it in trust until they're 16 and then you can sign it over to them?

A lot of banks do them, Co op do etc, I think you open it up for them until they are 7 and then you can hand over the control to them xx

A lot of them.do but they cant do anything until 16. RBS does it too. I just asked my bank

I'm with Santander and lo has had a bank account since she was 3 weeks old, I'm named trustee on it for now so its linked to my accounts for Internet banking
