Avatar size

Sorry if this is here a million times already, but I have been wanting to use a photo for an avatar, but I can't edit sizes from work. The one I want is already on Photobucket... Is there a way for me to edit the size without photoshop or something like it?

photobucket will resize a photo for you just click on the photo then to edit i think then resize
