I bought a hoover from Argos about feb last year. Its broken on me today, I dont have the receipt but its just a cheap no name one so to speak do you think they will exchange it??? Im doubtful but thought I would ask see if they had taken anything back for others without a receipt???

mmmmm i wouldnt of thought so after 11 months but anythings worth a try,you never know :) good luck

they did with our printed  it was 11 1/2 months old and we took it back

i'm pretty sure with electrical goods theres some consumer act that means the vendor is responsible for like 5 years or something. Worth a try though.
xx

I will give it a try, im lost without it  me loves my hoover haha!!

I took my microwave back to Argos after a year and half without a receipt. They checked the batch code on it to verify that it was sold by them and then they exchanged it. It took bloody ages but it wasn't a real hassle.

I will send OH then cause I cant be arsed with the faff

Did you pay by card? If so then get a copy of you bank statement for then as proof of purchase. I pay for everything on card for this reason as I'm useless at filing my recepits.

I did it with my hoover last year after I'd had it for around 18 months. I told them I'd only had it for around 6 months and cos it was a no name one that only Argos sold they exchanged it no problem. Thinking of doing it again, lol, mines getting a bit tatty now.

Argos are normally pretty good at exchanging things so i'd defo give it a go

mines a no name so I was thinking that maybe argos only do it. Im def going to get OH to take it back.. or at least try
