how you clean limescale out of the inside of a kettle-without buying special stuff? I htink once someone mentioned you could put vinegar in and boil it-but wasn;t sure if I remebered this right and what sort of vinegar it is?? Don't want vinegar tea for the next few months!!

(I hitnk I am nesting! Have just defrosted freezer...kettle next!):)

Not sure what alternative you can use but the de-scaler I get is only about £1.99!! Works brill!

Thanks! Prob the same price as buying some more vinegar then! Will be a job for my tomorrow list :)

Yer buy the actual de-scaling sachets, in my spar they are around £2! Worth it although I'm sure I've heard of lemon being used ...

You can use vinegar - white's probably best - just have to boil it and rinse through a few times - but yeah, prob quicker and same cost to use a descaler sachet x

defo white vinegar! i tried to descale my iron with malt vinegar once, lets just say i had to buy a new one  i think you can put a tsp of bicarbonate soda in aswell! not 100% on that one mind!

Thanks guys! I couldn't bring a baby into the world with limescale in my kettle!!
