At my 28 week appointment, my MW was taking my fundal measurement and commented that I have loads of fluid. My bump is huge and she said it's not baby, but just a large amount of waters and that she was surprised I could feel movements so well.

That was it! She didn't mention it again and didn't really indicate if this was a good thing/a potential problem. My FM is in the 50th centile, so I'm guessing it's nothing too major, but now I'm worrying a bit about it as I know too much fluid can potentially indicate/cause problems.

I think I had a lot with Blake because I was huge and he was quite small, but it was never mentioned really.

Is anyone else carrying loads of fluid? Has it caused or indicated anything or has your MW reassured you that it's all normal?

If chase this up Hun, if you think you where carrying with a lot of fluid with your last lo then chase it. This happened with my mum over me and my brother she dropped almost a kilo a week towards the end and they totall messed up both me and my brother where very lucky as our placentas had begun to fail, the midwives didn't even bother to chase it up. So seriously ask your midwife to get you a scan and see if it's an issue. I'm massive too and thought it was fluid but baby is huge and I can feel and see his kicks. Just get The midwife to get a scan booked to double check Hun xxx

At a 28 week scan I was just over the normal limits of fluid which is why I had reduced movements, they weren't reduced I just couldn't feel them! they've never said its a problem and ive been huge since 19-20 weeks! I'm 4 days over now and I really am huge but they've never been concerned about it??? I had a sweep Saturday and the midwife said ooh your carrying a lot of fluid aren't you but she still wasn't concerned about it xxx

I've got another appointment in 3 weeks, I guess I'll see if she mentions it again and perhaps request a growth scan if she does. I've been given an open ended invitation to have a growth scan whenever I want it by my consultant at the hospital, so I could always contact them direct. I'm not one for excessive scanning for the sake of it though, so it's reassuring that someone else has got lots and it isn't a problem.

I do maybe drink a lot of water so that could be it!

I've got an increase of fluid I'm 37 weeks and baby is breech and weighing 8lb 5ozs , above the 90 th centile , they have scheduled me for a scan tomorrow and if she is still breech I'll have a section there and then if she has turned I'll be induced x
