am i being to harsh on Braydon, he sleeps from 9 pm till 4.45 pm has 5 oz of milk n goes back to sleep till 8 am, am i being to harsh by moaning that he dont sleep through or is this at 7 months sleeping through?

Hi Sarah...
I think that's really good!
Even if you don't think so, tell him his adoptive mum says WELL DONE!!

Emilia xx

I dont think thats harsh. Its still a pretty good sleep but I wouldnt expect him to be waking at that time every night. Cant think of any suggestions though.

your not being harsh, i think he should be going with outt hat feed now, have u tryed just giving him some water instead and not giving in? i no it can be so hard thou. Dior used to have a 2am feed i could not get her to give up then at 5months for a whole week i just gave her water for that am wake up, she screamed and screamed i was shattered and had no sleep for a whole week but she gave up and then was going 9pm-7am

i dont think 20 hours is very long at all  :moon: tee hee

sorry hun - i couldnt resist that one

i think it sounds like he is doing well for his age. He's doing 8 hours in a row so that is brill.

xx

my B sleeps from about 11:30- 12 ish till 5 ish lol
i think 8 hours is brilliant :D:D:D i only get 6 hrs at a time at the most
luv braiana x

Abi was doing really well but now if i don't give her a dream feed as i'm going to bed she wakes at 4 or 5 if i give her dream feed she goes till 7ish, she normally goes to bed between 7 and 8. maybe try a dream feed instead :)

When you make up his milk why don't you put one extra once of water in e.g if you make 6 oz of water add only 5 part forumal and do that for a couple of days then put it to 6 oz of water then 4 part formualer

iv tried that lol and he is ok till it get to water lol then he refuses to go to sleep is awake for 4-5 hours solid lol and did this for a month till i gacve up lol

At that age Jess was sleeping from 8 till 6.30 but im not sure if that was with a dream feed. There could be many reasons he isnt doing that though, there is only 2 adults and a baby in our house so no doubt the shit is going to hit the fan with baby 2.

Ewan still wakes at night he went to bed last night at 7pm then he woke at 1am then again at 5.30am  both times he was hungry so i fed him, but then some days he will go from 7.30 till 8am, 7.30 till 6.30am.

Its so annoying as i know he can sleep through, but maybe its his teeth/too hot too cold, i dont know ---might take up mind reading !!

.....................
If i put Braydon down between 8.45 and 9.15 hell sleep thro till at least 5 if he goes before or after he has a terrible nite which means tonite i am going to have a bad nite as he shows no signs of goin down!
is there a reason for this?

Perhaps if he goes later he is overtired and this means they don'[t settle into sleep easily. Not too sure, sorry I can't help

We've been discussing this in the "no sleep club" thread. When they don't rest/sleep well in the day it can cause then to have ann unsettled night so maybe he is overtired in the same way.

he actually sleeps to well in the day and then wears him self out at nite so dont think it could be that ??

Can you put him down awake to go off on his own, Abi shocked me i put her down one night she was wide awake and playing and i thought i'd have to go back and get her, within 5 mins she was asleep :)
Rry it you never know x

yeah hell do it most nite but then he is a man wot do u expect lol he wont do it in the nite thp

As soon as ewan shows any signs of being sleepy during the day i.e rubbing eye i take him up stairs put him in his cot and put his lullaby cd on and he generally goes to sleep for an hour. In the evening he has a bottle about an hour before going to bed, and then a top up as i'm about to put him down, though i'm trying to cut out the top up
