Alex has the winter vomiting bug - not sure what to do??

Alex started throwing up on saturday evening and was sick all day sunday and had very runny nappies. Its now wednesday and he has stopped being sick (hasnt thrown up since monday) but still has runny nappies. Its not like every five minutes but when he goes its everywhere.
He is drinking plenty of water and some of his milk maybe 5oz instead of 16oz(2 bottles a day) and keeping it down. He is also eating plain foods lik toast and pieces of chicken. I dont really know what to do. I have had to take some time off work, and he cant go back to nursery till his nappies are normal.
I have been constantly washing and disinfecting everywhere - even his favorite bear has been through the wash twice, and so far neither me or his dad have come down with it.
Feel like Im not doing something right! He always seems to be ill!

at this age babys jump from one illness to another, they constantly have runny noses etc..! Your doing just fine hun!

Corey had/has (I cant tell yet) this bug... there was not alot I could do except what you are doing! Dr told us it could take 10 days to clear out of his system!!

It sounds to me like you are doing everything right.
He is keeping plenty of fluids down and you are washing everything. Sometimes I think they just take longer to get over things.
One thing you could maybe try is soya formula? I looked for some yesterday cos Riley has also had this this week but unfortunately you can't buy it in cartons and I didn't want to buy a whole tub as I know it tastes RANK and he's almost over it anyway.

Keep on with the toast and stuff and hopefully his nappies get better soon.
