Morning ladies,

Well I woke up this morning, went to the toilet, and there she was.

I'm feeling a little less disappointed about it then I was last month as it seems to be my cycle has decided to change itself since TTC from being an 8 day luteal phase to me having my period 12DPO, not sure if that's a good thing that maybe my bodies started to try and make sure that I can carry a fertilised egg and make sure i've got a bit longer for implantation to occur, although it's still only 12 days.

I'm actually kind of relieved to have my period as i'm on anitbiotics at the moment for an ear infection that's a suspected perforated ear drum which isn't nice at all, quite painful actually, and i've not been able to hear a thing out of my left ear all week.

Anyway, just a question, can Antibiotics do any damage to a developing foetus? The doctor asked me if i was on the pill, i said now we're actually TTC but she didn't ask me if there was any chance i could be pregnant, and at that stage I was a day late (from my normal 28 day cycle) and hadn't tested so there could have been a possibility.

My guess is that they might affect the pill if you were taking it, but you're fine otherwise. The doc would have said if there was likely to be a problem, I'm sure.

If you want reasurance, ask your pharmasit or call your docs and ask.

I think you'll be fine though

i'm going back to the doctors on monday because the ear is just getting worse, not able to hear a dicky bird out of it and it's very frustrating, any more then one noise and I can't hear what's going on! I will ask them then just to make sure it's all ok.

many thanks again ladies, it's so nice to have advise and reassurance from people who have an idea of what i'm going through. OH just keeps telling me it'll be fine and there's nothing to worry about and just let it happen, it's easy for them to say, they're not the ones wondering if there's something wrong with their bodies and why it's so easy for some people.

Will keep you posted.

I think it's the fact that they can only think about three things, Sex, Food and football! And sex for them isn't a means to a baby, it's the means to rolling over and falling asleep!

My OH complained the other day that I only sleep with him to get pregnant, and when he does getme pregnant I won't touch him ever again! Bless!

Mine's come to terms with the fact that he's right!

Poor men! I do feel sorry for him really! I think that's kind of why he's relieved I didn't get pregnant this month. He said, "that'd be my luck you getting pregnant this month, we only had a grown up hug a few times" Awww! Might have to get me some female viagra or something! then again, living with the in-laws doesn't exactly do much for your labido!

When we go to visit inlaws OH always wants to 'snuggle'! ewwwwwwwwwwwww **shudder**

The sad thing is (massive tmi coming up) my OH has a, what can only be decribed as a, "fetish" for pregnant ladies - he even owns pregnant porn (I have had words don't worry - plus if any pregnant ppl read this, I keep him locked up most of the time so you are safe!!) He couldn't keep his hands off me when I was pregnant with our first, so it is in his best interests to knock me up!!

That's brilliant, much better then my cousin who becomes an abusive pig when his wife got pregnant! Actually both cousins (from the same family) got abusive to their wives when they were pregnant! Horrible!

That's great! Must be great for your self esteem to when you're feeling the size of a house!

OK, intimate topic alert:
I have just got out of the shower, but when I was in there I thought I would have a quick feel of my cervix you know, to get acquainted with it ready for next cycle.
As far as I'm aware I have a fairly low cervix anyway but am I right in thinking that when your due on your cervix gets lower? also I expect it opens up a bit too...?
Any help appreciated!

As far as i've read, you're right, it ends up lower down and a little more open then it is at other times during your cycle.
