A nervous hello!

Woo, this is weird! I've not joined a forum in years.

Hello, everyone! I'm very nervous and so new to this sort of thing. I was one of the sworn never ever wanting kids crew, until I had a miscarriage last year. Ever since then, the desire took hold.

Tbh, our circumstances are pretty dreadful and we aren't actively TTC. BUT we both really really want one aaaaaand things have a way of happening. Currently waiting to take the test! (ten days to go )

I'm having all these weird symptoms and obsessively checking Google to see if they're associated with pregnancy. Just got to have some faith!

Anyway, it's lovely to meet you all and I hope I can make some friends and share in all your journeys.

Hello!!! I've just joined myself and not been a member of a forum since I was pregnant with my son (he's now 9!!!) me and my partner are WTT we are waiting for another 6 months yet but wantedtonget involved on here straight away lol.
I bet they 10 days are dragging for you! I hope it really is worth the wait fingers crossed for you x

We are in the same boat as you, I guess. We were never actively 'trying' (man I hate that term) but when I had a miscarriage I was surprised how much it affected me mentally. For years afterwards, even.

Now we're at that point in our lives where we're getting older and although we're not exactly solvent and in a financial position to have children, our ages and health are mitigating factors that are making us decide that now is the time. We were never against having kids, just kept waiting for "the right time" but it never came and our circumstances actually got worse, not better.

I say, we're not 'trying to try' and we're not 'trying not to' either. Just letting nature be nature.
