I've not had one, but 2 friends of mine had them over Xmas. They were both amazing!!!!

Neither of them had the DVD, they both just opted for the pictures (I think the packages were £65 at Babybond).

I'm in a voluntary caffeinne study so apart from my 12 week and 20 week (this Thursday!!) scans, I get 2 more at 28 and 36 weeks, so I can't really justify shelling out the extra money. :(

I will let you all see the piccies when I have them done, hoping that I get to 27 weeks what with my cervix problem

how much you getting them done for they are expensie arent they?? i want some but boyfriend says no grrrrr

cant wait to see yours!

I've had mine today, we paid £95 at Proscan in Nottingham, that was for several photos and a DVD.

It was fab and well worth the money.

Baby wouldn't stop fidgeting (as always) so that does make it harder to get a good 3D image but we got some lovely pics and it's fascinating watching them in motion on the DVD. It will be a lovely keepsake to show him/her when they're older and for us to look back on.

I'll post the pics up as soon as I've scanned them in so you can see.

Oh lucky you Bagpuss 17, cant wait to see piccies

Mine is going to cost £195

thats not bad Bagpuss, £95 well worth the money i am thinking about getting some i really want some it would be lovely ........ can't wait to see the pics, it might convince my bloke it is worth the money! x

£95 is an excellent price, I was expecting to pay nearer to £200.

One thing you have to bear in mind is that it all depends on how baby is lying as to how good the pics are. It's very stop and start as they try and grab stills from the motion of the baby. Amazing though.

Our little one made it difficult to get a clear look at his/her face, his/her hands and feet were right up to the face and the umbilical cord was near to his/her face too.

Anyway, will post a couple of images up in a mo.

We're going to grab some more still images from the DVD once we've rendered it too.

Wow.. they are fab pics Bagpuss.. you and OH must be sooooo happy to see those!!

Can you tell me more about Proscan??? as I am in Notts too maybe I would consider it.. OH really wants us to but I was worried about cost.. £95 sounds good!!

And when is best time [what stage of preg] is best to have these done?

Taxxxxx

Thanks Anna Marie.

They are incredible, you can defo pick out family resemblances and seeing them yawn and sticking their tongues out is amazing.

http://www.proscan-uk.com/ - Here's the url for ProScan. They have different packages to suit your budget. They're on Regent Street just behind Maid Marian Way.

They were very professional and the sonographer was lovely. I would highly recommend them.

Wish I could show you my DVD clips. I'll try and get a small avi clip to show you soon.

The website states that it's best to have the scan done between 25- 30 weeks, any later than that it's very difficult to get a good look at baby because there's less space for them to move around.

They are brilliant piccies Bagpuss 17. You are lucky yours are black & white as most of a yellowy orangey colour.

We've got the gold coloured images on the scan. Not sure which is better really but we're going to grab the stills of the DVD of the gold bits and print them off.

Aww, lovely pics :D

I wanted one of these scans but everywhere i looked they were around £200 so I didnt. Seeing yours I wish I had now though lol.

Rachel xx

I couldn't believe it when I found this company on the web, much more affordable. I didn't fancy paying £200 quid either.

Thanks Bagpuss.. have sent the link to OH so he can decide if he still wants us to go for it..

We will be having extra ultrasound scans at 24, 28 and 32 weeks due to being a high risk pregnancy... so we will get to see our little Bodette quite often hopefully.. would love to have a DVD to look back on though!!

x

At least if you're having more scans, you can get to see baby more.

A friend of ours had a 4D scan at the Queens Med whilst they were having a routine scan, lucky devils.

At my sisters hospital, they're equipment does 4D scans too.

I was thinking this morning that in 5-10 years or so it will be common for most hospitals to do 4D scans instead of the normal ultrasound ones!! How cool !!
