just switched it on , halfway through because i'd been watching wife swap aftermath- an obese girl who'd apparently had her stomach stapled was shopping in morrisons- was that her MUM she was with?!

if it was i am appalled at her! the poor girl was obviously temped by crisps but was doing really well to resist, and the woman with her was like, "why dont u have low-fat crisps, as a little treat?", "go on, seeing as youve had a hard day," and when the girl refused she muttered "oh, thats a shame."

hows THAT for unsupportive?! i wanted to shake her and tell her to shut the fuck up!

i saw that a couple of weeks ago. i thought the exact sane thing about the mother - no wonder the poor girl ended up so over weight!

it was when they went shopping that got me - she was suggesting things for dinner like spag bol (lovely but not exactly what she should have been eating!) and then a weight watchers pizza! she had no idea of a balanced meal or that when you eat so little on one of those bands, what you do eat must be full of nutriants and goodness!

made me very angry - i really hope that girl really goes for it and achieves her goal weight.

i saw that. later on the mum was saying how angry she was that her daughter never recieved any support or education on how to eat well!!! i was shouting at the screen ' YOU'RE THE MUM, ITS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
