Well to be fair, the parent's didn't know about her going on the sunbeds. I cannot believe they allow there to be an unmanned tanning salon It's a disgrace, of course kids like her are going to go on if there is no one there to stop them or even advise them on safety! I personally hate sunbeds with a passion, I love to look nice and sunkissed so it's a pain to put self tan on but I don't like the risks of going on a sunbed. In my opinion they should be banned

I think unmanned tanning beds are a really bad idea! How silly of her though! When we had a leisure complex for an evening we were given use of the sunbeds (though they were upright tanners) but we were limited by tokens to 6 mins a person. I had 3 and decided enough was enough so I can't imagine what 19 was like!

I heard her on the news:
"no-one was there to tell me not to do it"
So the multiple warning signs about age and time limits weren't enough to maybe make her realise it wasn't a good idea..
Unmanned ones aren't the best idea but they are operating within the law and no doubt now they will get the blame for stupid teenagers breaking the rules.

She might only be 14 or whatever but as if you would go on a sunbed for that long! She shouldn't be going on one at all at her age (personally I would never use one at whatever age) but course you're gonna get burnt if you go on for that long!!! And then trying to blame the salon coz there was no one there... that is bad, but she should have enough sense herself!

Tbh I think most 14 year olds would have some inkling of the risk involved
I hate sunbeds. I'd rather stay pale and interesting. Or pasty and cancer free

I use to be really bad for the sunbeds years ago i mean really bad 5 days a week 12 minutes
and even done 22 minutes one day in two shops i was very dark but couldnt see it.
To me i felt pale because i was addicted. Now i dont go on them i did not want to look 50 when i am 30
and prefare to false tan fake it than bake it.
I dont understand why her mum has loads to say when she knew her daughter was using the sunbeds

and the person behind the desk who gave her the tokens for 19 min should never of allowed her
to do that length of time on the bed in the first place. 8 or 12 min is max looking at her you would

She collapsed after the bath through heat exsorsion < spelt that wrong
The same thing nearly happend to me yrs ago it was down to heat exsorsion
lengths of time on the bed that day and then a hot bath i nearly puked in the bath & went light headed
This might show awareness to them young ones and make the people working in the beds
study more at the customers age and skin tone before handing out tokens!
