    periods after breastfeeding

i didn't breastfeed but it took over eight weeks for my period to come back. i know that breastfeeding can prolong this so i wouldn't necessarily expect to come anytime soon. maybe once your milk starts to dry up and your homones start settling. try not to worry and enjoy it while it lasts!!

    Being Induced

i was induced with my son. it is the same as going into labour on your own, it just comes on faster. in my case i was induced with pitocin at 7.30 am and my waters were broken and i had my son at 1.10 in the afternoon. the contractions didn't become very painful until about 11.00am and by the...

    Dilated Kidneys

my first son gave us a scare when i went to my 20 wk scan. they told me his kidneys looked large for his size and for his dates. i dont know if that is the same thing as being dilated though. needless to say, i had pictures of him needing dialisis and transplants running through my head, and had...

hello emma. i was hoping for a girl this time around, but it seems i will be blessed with another boy! since this is my second and last baby, it seems my beautiful girls names will go to waste. girls, i need your opinions!

hi petchy! i'm a graphic designer too, in Ontario Canada. I find the prospect of freelancing very exciting, however in my case, i don't want the bother of competing or going out to find jobs...and yes i like my financial security. i myself have chosen to stay at my company, who have treated me...

just an update: i just read in my parenting magazine that it is safe to use these products on newborns. it is rare that they will have a reaction but it is possible if the baby has very sensitive skin.

    Johnstons baby products..

hi pink lady perfumes can be irritating to people with sensitive skin. this is true for anybody, not just babies. That being said I used johnson products with no problem. i don't see any problem with using the products...they have passed safety standards afterall! just watch for any reactions...

    There's not 28 days in a month !!

Ive been on some sites that tell you you are actually pregnant for ten months in the sense that you are pregnant for nine full months. so your baby's due date falls on week 40 which would be the end of the ninth month/beginning of the tenth month. As for me it hurts my brain to think about it...

Did you find antenatal classes useful?

My husband and I took classes with our first son and we both found them really useful. I was less nervous because I new what types of thing to expect, I knew all my choices about pain relief, emergencies, etc., and if I had any questions about my pregnancy I was able to ask. My husband found the...
