Duds if you want a epidural go for it, they should give you it early on so that it wears off slightly when you are ready to push, therefore lowering the changes of having intervention i.e ventouse etc !

I came off the pill and caught the following month, i think it depends with each person but i have read that ovulation can take up to 3 months to return after stopping the pill. :)
Totally agree with Nathensmum, as a nurse aswell i can totally understand everything you wrote.
When i had my son i found everyone on the delivery suite absolutely brilliant and really supportive, but my aftercare on the ward was crap. That doesnt mean i think ALL midwifes are unsupportive...
