I made these for my sister (she does breastfeeding support) it was the funniest thing I've ever knitted and the weirdest thing to have sitting on your kitchen table for 2 days. If you still need one let me know but it will be after Christmas due to Christmas knitting :D

Basically nothing - its major surgery. No hoovering, driving, standing for long periods, lifting carrying etc. And it takes quite a while - that's apart from the hormonal crash if she hasn't had the menopause - which made my Mum very tearful, forgetful and emotional for a while - she found it...

I'm devestated :( Stoke on Trent had the worst forecast and its just raining grrrrr I have a teaching observation today which was to be cancelled in the case of snow and my college class tonight was cancelled if it snowed. Now I have to go to work and everything :cry:

OK this was a 2 hour discussion in my family - there would be a loooooooot more people about - in my small street you would expect to have around 20 people surviving, multiply that by 20 for my little estate and so on. London (and other big cities) would actually still be quite busy. And...

Was most impressed to get book called Knitted Baby Blankets for five quid including post and packaging (used) when I'd nearly paid eighteen quid for a new copy! so now I'm adding lots of used knitting books to my wishlist in the hope that someone one day checks the thing! :wink:

No not at all - don't forget that's how most people get pregnant. On here it can look deceptive becuase there are lots of us who for various reasons take a bit longer and a lot more effort to get pregnant. But I would definately start with the give it a go and wait and see approach first before...

Asda have some good stuff in this year - and sainsburys. Depends on how much you want to spend - but "baskets" are good too - fill them with stuff on a theme, for example one of my sisters has a beauty basket this year - I've picked up bargains from Avon, brand name stuff from poundshop, etc...

Maybe not. There's weird websites where lots of grannys take pictures of their cleavage :wink: :rotfl:

actually he's 26, and the youngest of my stepchildren lol so we've done well to escape this long :D think DH is more devestated at the thought of expensive christmas presents he has to buy :rotfl:

That's ok :cry: I don't mind :cry: I'll just go and throw out all clothes in my wardrobe that don't shout granny...... :wink: My Mum has no sympathy - she points out she was only 3 years older than me when I made her a nan for real...that's not the point, she was obviously older than me in...
