    Plus size maternity clothes

I'm a size 16/18 at the moment due to post baby bulge from the first! I bought a pair of Red Herring over bump jeans yesterday from Debenhams and find them to be a really good fit. Also New Look might be worth a shot? They go up to a size 20/22 in maternity, but they also have their inspire...

Brother in law (to be) rant

I agree, tell your OH about this message and let him make his mind up. I certainly wouldn't jump at replying though, he never bothered with your OH. The quicker he leaps in, the more chance there is of getting betrayed yet again. I think the brother needs to earn back trust and respect, BUT that...

    Concert @ 28 weeks?

I'm going to see Boyzone in June when I'll be about 34 weeks - hubby isn't overly keen, but I missed their tour last year due to being ready to pop, so I shan't miss it this time!

Brother in law (to be) rant

I completely understand your situation, I am actually in a similar one with my eldest brother, whom I used to be so close to. It all started when he married his wife and moved to Wales, leaving his kids here to take on hers. Obviously my family didn't particularly like it, but it was his life...

When should you have you 2nd MW appointment?

The midwives in my area recommend a second appointment between 14-16 weeks, but that's taking into account the scan at around 12 weeks. And then it's every four weeks, but towards end this increases to every fortnight, going weekly once you hit your due date.

    Houses!

Yup! Ours been on market for a month and not one viewing - our estate agent is getting all their business from rentals as no one is buying in our area at all. We have viewed a few houses ourselves (in a different area) and these have also been on the market a long time and that estate agent...

Do I need to feed her more?

My DD is a little piglet too! She's on C&G hungry formula and has been having 9-10oz bottles for... months! She is now eating three meals a day (porridge or fruit for breakfast, half a jar of something for lunch plus petits yoghurt and some sort of veg puree for dinner). She also has three...

    Who's got sat nav?

We use a Garmin Nuvi 300 and it's fab - tells us speed cameras (fixed and mobile), nearest petrol stations/shops/attractions/hospitals/etc as well as how to get from A to B! Would highly recommend it, but avoid the download voice of Homer Simpson - men seem to find it hilarious, I find it damn...

    Buying and selling a house?

We looked into this a bit too when we were thinking of buying brand new last year. Our house was then valued at £134,995. The builder sent round three estate agents to value our property. The offer that came back on ours was around £95k if I remember rightly! Needless to say we didn't bother -...

    Buying and selling a house?

We're also looking to move asap - our house is on the market - £20k less its value last spring! BUT we'll be saving a heap on our future purchase so aren't too worried about this. I don't have any advice re: the mortgage apart from speak to an advisor, but one thing we are planning on doing is...

Petrified of the pushing stage :( FOA 2nd time + mums! :(

I'm with you on this one and would also be interested to hear about any second times that were better than the first! My first ended up in theatre with emergency forceps delivery with spinal block, so I didn't feel the episiomoty/pulling/pushing, but boy I felt it afterwards. So because I have...

    Not heard about scan yet.

Yeah it is, I'm very lucky that I go to Rosie in Cambridge, had my first there in the summer and even though my labour/birth experience was horrendous, they were fab. I'd def call your hospital again tomorrow, thought you should've heard by now if your appt was on the 16th too. It might be it's...

    Not heard about scan yet.

I'd personally call the midwife or ultrasound dept to see what is going on and if they have received the booking in form and if you have been booked in at the hospital or not. I saw my midwife on Dec 16th, received my scan appointment on the 22nd, had my scan on Fri Jan 2nd (only to find out I...

    Downs test??

I didn't have one with my first pregnancy and I won't be having it this time either, with full support of hubby and MW. I'd personally never have the amnio done, so the triple test is pointless for me - if it came back higher risk, I'd spend the rest of the pregnancy worrying - most likely for...

I am officially pooping my pants...

Hi hun - I've got longer to wait but am in same boat as you! Kayla will be a year old when my second is born and I am already wondering how I am going to cope! I also worry about not loving the other baby the same, not being able to give the same amount of time to Kayla and the recovery process...
