We have just started with the weaning and I want to make sure she gets some variety when we moves to two meals a day.

A baby rice cake tonight while me and hubby were having dinner. She loved it and gummed half of it and we found the rest in her highchair!

I would lay E in her cot when I was having a shower or pottering upstairs from day 1 so it was never a strange environment.

My dd LOVES hers. If she was allowed would stay in it all day! She keeps her feet flat to the floor when she is in it and when she is standing on laps etc.
I think it has strengthened her legs tbh. She likes that she can see all around the room at what people are doing. I say she is doing...

We moved E when she was 6 weeks as she was starting to get too long for we basket.
We all had fantastic nights sleep after that and E started doing 12 hours straight not long after.

That sounds like it was a really good conversation with you both being honest and frank about everything and communicating in a calm way (even though there were tears) iykwim. A compromise of weekends sounds fair as a meet in the middle solution.
