At 6 weeks i was excessively bloated and my stomach looked bigger than it does now at 15 weeks. I cut out fizzy drinks but really nothing made much of a difference. The bloating started to ease off at about 10 weeks i think.x
Also, the midwife i went to see on Friday did try to explain how the results work and basically she said that a result of 1:2500 is actually no worse than 1:15000 because this result is generated using a computer and is just a statistic based on many factors x
It means anyone with a result less than 1:159 is classed as high risk and will be called bck for further investigations. However, you are not in the high risk category, they just told you that for information purposes. Your actual risk will be 1:2225 so you have nothing to worry about :) x
It means if 150 people were to have babies potentially 1 of those babies may have downs syndrome and the other 149 of those babies would be without it. Is that what you wanted to know?x
Thanks for the info. She did say tht with any more pregnancies i have i will have to have it again. Slightly paniked me though when she said "50 years ago some mothers and babies used to die from having different blood but nowadays with the anti d injection its ok". Also, she said to go in if i...
So i went for a midwife checkup today and got told im blood type O neg so will need an anti D injection. I know why i need the injection as she tried to explain it to me but what difference will me needing these injections have on my labour. Also, is it a horrible injection?
You may have ovulated a few days later or the egg may have taken a while to fertilise, hence the difference in dates. Congratulations though, i hope this pregnancy works out for you :) x
I have had to give up my 2 favourite things...smoking and coke. I went cold turkey as soon as i found out i was pregnant. Still wrote on all my maternity notes though to make me look terrible!x
