    First kicks/movement?

Hi ladies, When did you start feeling your little one move and kick? I know it can vary and depends on the individual, just interested in when it happened for everyone. I'm finding the whole pregnancy thing is still sinking in abit, and that it may take feeling my bub move to get me to believe it!!

    Buying things?

I've bought a jacket, hat and scratch mitt set. I only got those because i couldn't resist!! I've looked at other items but can't bring myself to buy anything else, it still feels to soon. I think the right time is different for everyone, do whatever you feel comfortable with

OH doesn't want to tell colleagues

To be honest i don't see what the problem is. If he's told his family and friends (i.e. the important people) then what does it matter if he doesn't want to announce it to the world? Maybe he see's it as a private thing or maybe he doesn't want to jinx anything. I'm fairly similar, in that i...

When did you tell your Mums?

We told my parents the day after we got our positive result, and his parents the day after that. Both sets of parents knew we were going through fertility treatment and had been really supportive - particularly my mum - so it felt right to tell them straight away. We told the rest of the family...

My first scan and my mum!

It's been just me and my husband at our scans so far. My mum did joke that if he was too busy with work she would happily take his place!! But she knows H wouldn't miss a scan for the world and she was happy to see the scan pics afterwards. My hospital letter said one adult for company and No...

2nd early scan and booking appointment today

Thanks Ellie! It's taken us 5 and half years, and 2 cycles of ivf to get to this point. Will be totally worth all the pain and heartache once LO is here with us.

2nd early scan and booking appointment today

Thanks ladies! I'm going to try to start enjoying it rather than worrying constantly. It was really nice as the nurse/midwife who did the scan today was the same nurse who was with us for most of our ivf appointments, scans and surgery. Am glad we got to see her one last time and that she got to...

Evening ladies, Have had a very pregnant lady day today! Had my second early scan this morning. I was sooo nervous, teary and feeling sick with nerves. I'm finding it hard to accept that something good has finally happened for us and keep ecpecting it to go wrong. So was fully expecting to be...

    Breast question

Phew, glad it's normal. Was starting to worry, although everything makes me worry at the moment so i shouldn't be suprised! I'm assuming it won't affect my milk production, as i really want to breast feed. I'm an A cup and have worried for years about my ability to breast feed

    Breast question

I keep reading that your breasts will grow loads in the first trimester and expect to go up a couple of sizes. I'm now 10 weeks and mine haven't changed at all. I'm very small chested so would notice any difference. Is this normal? They were very sore for the few weeks of pregnancy but that wore...

    Ginger biscuits!

Ginger biscuits are amazing!! They're the only thing that help when i'm feeling quesy and grim. Trouble is my husband has now taken a like to them and is munching them as much as me! Think we'll both continue eating them even after the morning sickness passes - which i hope is soon!

Has anyone not bought a pram

We're planning on just getting a couple of slings and a baby carrier for the first few months. Then as the baby gets older and heavier we'll think about getting a pram. We're hoping that we'll be able to carry him/her for as long as possible. I'm due in January so wouldn't be going out loads...
