    omg my hubby

OMG my DH is having enough trouble getting his head round being a Dad once! I keep joking that we have a pregnancy test left over and we can save it for next time. He normally turns pale and goes out of the room quick!

    Static Electric

What a good question! This should be a thread! Off the top of my head, we can't get pregnant whilst pregnant (until the baby arrives - ha ha).

    Leg cramps

I woke up last night about 3.30 am screaming! I didn't even realise it was me straight away. I had suddenly developed cramp in my left calf, which had woken me up (I went to sleep at midnight). It went away fairly quickly, but I have had an aching leg all day. It even came back at...

    Back from midwife appointment

Very boring really. Checked my pulse and wee and prodded my stomach. All is well. As I had been warned, she didn't check for baby's heartbeat because it's difficult to hear at this stage and she didn't want to worry me if she couldn't find it. Can't wait for my second scan now in 2 and a...

    urine sample for home check

I don't think my midwife listens for the heartbeat until after the 20 week scan because apparently it's hard to find early on and they don't want to cause worry if they can't find it. I have a MW appointment at the clinic on Monday and would love to hear the heartbeat, as I think I'm...

    naming advice

I remember at school a boy called Alan. When we were about 16 it emerged that his real name was Albert and the ribbing commenced. Kids can be cruel and I remember feeling really sorry for him. Last time I saw him he was even thinking of changing his name by deed poll. I like Harry too...

    Pelvic floor exercises

Does anyone know any websites or books that spell out simply how to do pelvic floor exercises? I was talking to some friends last night about them and they said I should start doing them asap. I have looked around for instructions, but I just can't comprehend what I'm supposed to be doing, or...

    Clocks go back!

Hi all, just a reminder that the clocks go back tonight. I've only just found out myself and been caught out before (lol). On the bright side, it's an hour extra in bed tomorrow! :cheer:

    it's the weekend again

I'm planning lessons for work next week. Going really slowly as I'm not back in that frame of mind yet as just had half term. This evening I'm off to a halloween party at a friends, which I get to drive everyone back from! :? I might gatecrash the kiddies party first, which starts at 5pm...

Maternity clothes for small women - do they exist?

Well, after a full day of shopping I came back with one pair of mat jeans from Red Herring in Debenhams. They fit on the waist, but are way too long, so will get them shortened tomorrow. Work will just have to get used to seeing me in the same dresses and skirts for the next few months...

Maternity clothes for small women - do they exist?

Hi, I'm 5 ft and when not pregnant I am a size 6 - 8 petites. I'm getting to the stage now where none of my pre-pregnancy trousers are fitting any more, so thought I would go and buy some maternity jeans/trousers etc. from Next and Mothercare, only to find they have nothing for smaller women...

    Got the giggles

Ha Ha, got snooker on in background and I heard commentator say (and I quote) "... John Higgin's pink and black balls are bouncing all over the table." Sorry to lower the tone, but can't stop laughing! :rotfl::rotfl: I'm gonna be a terrible Mum!

    tummy moustache

Is this a feature of being pg??!! Never heard of hairy tummies before. Is it to do with hormones? It usually is. Will be checking carefully from now on!
