I was a heavy drinker before I got pregnant and went out clubbing almost every weekend (drinking while out). As soon as I found out after a particularly heavy session drikning and clubbing for DH's birthday that I was pregnant, I stopped drinking at all. It was hard as I love my wine and vodka...

I had been admitted to the triage unit in the maternity dept when my waters broke. I swore at my DH and told him to go and fetch 'that f***ing midwife' :oops: :lol:

Isla was 8 days late argh!

Awww thanks girls for the advice. She seems better today but still a bit grizzly. I've got teething rings at the ready in case she gets really bad with it.

Yesterday and today Isla has been constantly sucking and chewing on her fists. She has been using her soother too and cries straight away if it falls out or if I take it out. She's really irritable too today altho she slept pretty well last night. I'm wondering if she's teething? But at only 10...

I suspected I was pregnant after feeling very down and bursting into tears at work. I did a test that week, and it was positive. I was probably about 7 weeks.

Tried a dummy with Isla but she'll only take it before a feed or at bedtime if I can't settle her. I try not to use it very much and she seems to prefer sucking her hands instead.

I was in slow labour and after 2 days of slow labour my waters finally popped with a gush. The contractions got stronger after that (they were very strong before)....

I've still got mine and I gave birth 9 weeks ago. It has faded a little bit tho...

Thanks girls. I am bleeding quite a lot, like a normal period for me. I just hope that I'm not gonna be bleeding for ages, that will just be so annoying! Usually my periods last 4 days and is quite light, and that was on another type of pill, Loestrin. Fingers crossed that I won't bleed too much...

I've got 'Your Pregnancy Bible' by Dr Anne Deans. I found it a fab book and referred to it if I needed to know something. My husband bought it on Ebay.
