Zika virus - threat to Europe, worried about holiday...

I've been reading in the news the last couple of days about a very real threat of the zika virus hitting Europe this spring/summer and France being at particular risk. We're heading to France for our holidays this summer and it's got me a bit concerned if I'm honest... Is anyone else worried about this? Does anyone know what insect repellents are most safe to use during pregnancy?

It's mainly transmitted by certain mosquitoes. Apparently France has a breed of mosquito capable of transmitting the disease.

I've heard it's ready in Cape Verde so yes, a little concerning! I wouldn't know on repellents but all I'd say is where possible use a natural one, if you are sitting somewhere for a period of time do so under a mozzy net, same with sleeping. They tend to crowd around places with water so maybe avoid lakes rivers. Just keep an eye on the news and where it's heading as it might not make it to France xxxxzx
