Just Curious As To What Reasons We Choose Our Usernames For

Some Are Obvious I Know, Like "Because Its My Name".. But Others Are More Unusual So I Was Just Wondering.. Why Did You Choose Your Username?

I use Sherlock on IRC, forums and goodness knows where else. Its kind of stuck with me for years now.

If Sherlock is taken when I sign up somewhere I have a few reserve nicks I use.

IRC use has many nicks for me, most of them have some sort of daft meaning to me and are not important.

Plus I run various websites, some very busy and I've had press articles written about me also. Having Sherlock as my nick is a nice way to remain a little anonymous to many who don't know me from elsewhere.
