What was/is your dream job? What do you do now and do you enjoy it?

Im having a career change and have nooooo idea what im going to do. Im in the RAF and I have been in since I left school, it was always what I wanted to do so im bricking it about leaving. Inspire me ladies! :help:

Not helpful to you, but my dream job is being an Army Officer  I'm in the TA now, training starts in January for Officer.

Are you getting a re-settlement allowance to re-train? What's your trade in the RAF and do you enjoy it?

In normal civvy life I'm an Sales & Events Manager which means running events from small lunches to conferences for 1,000+ people. I also do freelance work for a company that runs holiday lets, and I'm starting to do freelance work in April for an outdoor adventure company (with them training me as an adverturous training instuctor for my time). My freelance work is all sales and marketing based.

I love my freelance work, but hate my tedious office work in my regular job! I also can't stand how ineffective some civvy companies are at most things. If I never go into the Army full time, I'll probably end up being a SAHM or running my own freelance events/sales company.

Journalist :) or an author. I don't work at the minute though

my dream job would be to be a sleep study subject, i LOVE sleeping

I work for a radiator manufacture at the moment inputing orders onto the system, its a mega boring and the lasses i work with are a bunch of :mamafy:

I think when i go back from mat leave i am moving to another office sorting out credits and returns. We'll see how that goes xx

i always wanted to be the first female member of the red arrows! was gutted when i saw the other week that that position has now been filled!! not that i'm a pilot or even anything close to it!! i did want to do air traffic control, but it'd be too much with the girls!

I still have no idea what I want to do.....I never have really.....when I was in school I loved languages so I used to say I wanted to be an air hostess but my dad said it was a glorified waitress so that put me off.....
I actually went to the army careers office to join up when I was about 18. My mum and dad met when they were in the army. I got all the info and came away to talk to my mum and dad etc and the next day the IRA blew up the office I'd been in! Feck that I thought!!

 i'm the same. i was going to be a ballet dancer (and was going to own a solar powered car cos i'd be rich and cant stand the smell of petrol ), a vet, a teacher, a musician, a doctor, a pilot... i'm still just like a child in that i cant make my mind up from one minute to the next!! atm i work on the checkouts in tesco, so as you can see i'm so close to my goals!!

You could still join the RAF if you wanted ;) There are civvy Air Traffic Control courses too.

i always dreamt of being a teacher, and i was before my daughter (higher ed sociology, straight out of uni!) i did love it, but now i'm a SAHM and tbh it's my dream job, and i'm really happy being at home with maddi :D

Anything with few hours, pays well and no shit.... literally and metaphorically....

Im like Lisa, i dont really know what i want to do, i just get my teeth stuck into whatever comes my way .. and for the last 5 years almost its been the motor trade. As a child working in the motor trade would have been bottom of my list of "dream jobs" but i cant really see me doing anything else now, its all i know. Plus i have to be thankful, its how i met OH lol

I can see me working for myself at some point but I dont know what....I've always been a bit of a wheeler dealer on the side so maybe I'll find something I really like selling and get in to that more.....

I couldnt work for myself .. the temptation to just take the day off would be too much lol

my ideal job would be a data imputter.. it sounds so boring but if you locked me in a room with sheets of information to put into exel or access spreadsheats i would love it!

I do data input and its a full on yawn fest for me. Actually it wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't for the bunch of cat fighting bitches i have to listen to all day! I just go in, do my job and go home, i try not to speak to them. I go back off mat leave on 1st december, can you tell i'm looking forward to it  xx

I dont know if the secondary schools system works the same where you are but you should watch out for a job as an Assessement or Data Manager in a school. That's what I started doing when I first worked in a school. There's an element of data inputting (you usually have an assistant though) then you play with the information to analyse treads and so on. You find under achieving kids if there are weaknesses in particular areas in the school so you can suggest ways of improving things. I really enjoyed that coming from an IT background....yes I am boring too....:D

In an ideal world i'd love to have my own little business.
