Yet another ear infection! Is tea tree oil safe to use??

Im 35 w abd developed yet another ear infection. Ive read online tea tree oil will help calm the infection until I xan get in with docs. Is it safe to use in pregnancy?? X

I believe it is. I used it on my belly button piercing during pregnancy. I'm pretty sure it's safe to use - I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong..... X

To be honest babe a clove of garlic and olive oil will work wonders xxx very good at fighting infection xxx big hugs ear infections are awful xxx

Aw ear infections suck!! A warm.compress.on your ear will help hun also lavender.oil on a wet flannel is good or like Jellytots said a couple of drops of olive oil to loosen up whatever is blocking your ear making it sore

Not sure what you intend to do with the tea tree oil??

I used it on an infected ingrown hair when I was 15w though!

Oooooooh whatever you do don't put neat t tree in your ear, it will burn and burn! I did once, accidentally! Ended up at doc, made things a lot worse! X

Thanks ladies oh did a garlic n olive oil mixture n i smell lile a garlicbread!!! Pain eased a little but needed to take paracetmol in the night ( told doc on wed i was getting an ear infection n was ignored now ill end up back there again!! X

Never use TT oil inside you!

Even on skin you have to be careful and not expose the area to sun (not very hard here eh lol)

I ended up with antibiotics for my ear infection along with heat pad and paracetamol.
Hope it eases soon hun it's the worse pain I've ever been in!

I had a very bad ear infectin 2 yrs ago. I needed 2 lots of anibiotics.
For pain relief I used cocodamol which helped a bit BUT the thing I found the best was homeopathy, mag.sulph. Is great. It really helped with the deep throbbing pain, enough to let me sleep.
Hope it gets better soon, ear infections are no fun.

Once Ella is here im going to request a referal to ent specialist had them at least 3-4 times a year normally but sonce i fell preggers this is my 5th one so im no stranger to them but this one bloody kills! Have had some co codomol on n off too as i have spd so as u can imagine im a right barrel of laughs! X
