XXXXX K8_005 Labour thread XXXXX!!! UPDATED BABY BENJAMIN GEORGE IS HERE!!!!

Hi ladies.
The time has come to start the lovely K8's labour thread.

One week overdue, come on baby Mummy cant wait to meet you and we cant wait to find out if your a baby boy or girl! Woo hoo exciting!!

Also will she have her July baby or August baby????

Tue 30th July

10.30 pm regular tightenings

Wed 31st July

3am more frequent and stronger contractions

12pm

10 - 11 mins apart = Kate feels could be a slow one! WATCH THIS SPACE!!

7.30pm - things got more painful then calmed down again, more bloody plug lost.

1st August

11 am - went to hospital - 2cm dilated and a few contractions on trace but sent home again. If nothing still tomorrow they will break her waters.

DEF AN AUGUST BABY NOW!!! HANG ON IN THERE HUN YOUR DOING FAB!!!

8pm 3cm, babies hb was slowing so sent to labour ward

10.15pm 6cm progressing well on gas and air

11pm pethadine and broke waters

11.50 little Benjamin arrived safe and sound, 8lb 2oz, well done Kate for pushing him on your own before the meds came back with the forceps!
YAY!!SO HAPPY FOR YOU A GORGEOUS BABY BOY WELL DONE!!! xxxx

Thanks guys. I'm still at home. Corrinne has been a lovely txt support even through the night bless her. I am v uncomfortable in general and contractions have become quite painful I seem to get to 6/7 Mins apart then revert to 10/11 again I hope that with Time il get closer contractions as well as just more intense. Had a bit of a show this morning so fort that was it but I guess as a first timer this stage can take time. X
