Please don't check your cervix at this stage!!! The risk of introducing infection is quite high, I happened to be talking to my mum about it yesterday, and she said that you should only have a speculum examination until your in labour because even a midwife poking a gloved hand up there could risk infection.

Haha thats how i felt like!

Mines opened more now aswell! But i dnt think it means a hell of alot!

Mind you with ur BHs it couldnt mean shes on her way pretty soon!
But apprently ur cervix can me open up to 3cm for days/ weeks before labour kicks off! Xx

It never goes completely closed after first baby so 2cm dilated all the time might be normal for you - I had a check the other day too (oops) and was surprised I could also put a full fingertip in there and that I could reach it at all!

Ooh scary! Well I had it checked last year and it was totally closed, so maybe it's just opened a little bit recently but not as much as it feels.

God why can't we just have a little digital monitor that tells us everything we need to know that's going on in our bodies!!!! X
