I was offered it at 38 weeks but refused, I'm not sure if 38 weeks is the same or everyone though as I'm consultant led x

Usually term plus 5 days for first baby and term plus 7 days for second baby on.If having a sweep and all normal. If consultant request earlier sweeps can be done.

Ive never heard of that!? Studied mw and ive never seen a mw check cervix as routine! I was only offered a sweep at t+5 in my last pregnancy and i did not have it. X

My mw said they won't check until 40 weeks I have a mw appointment at 40+3 and she said she will give me a sweep that day if I havnt had him by then xx

The first time mine was checked was at 39 weeks when the midwife attempted my first sweep.

I don't think they tend to fiddle about up there unless necessary. x x x

I didn't get my cervix checked until I was in labour and they were checking to see how dilated I was. I've never heard of them checking before labour before unless you're having a sweep xx
