Would you ask?

I'm from Belfast and when I go for a scan, basically it's up to the sonographer how many if any pictures are given, they are free of charge.. My last photos were at 20+3, I'm currently 34+1 and have a scan in 6 days yay But at the last one I was a bit because I didnt have a picture to bring home and stare at for the rest of the day working out the little lumps and bumps etc.. I know it isn't important to get a picture main thing being baby is healthy, but I am wondering should I maybe ask at the next one for a little pic to take home.. I don't want to come accross like that's all I care about because it's not, I know they won't be able to get all of baby in but I think even a picture of a toe I would be just as amazed and happy Am I just being hormonal and anal? Would any of you girls ask or feel the same?

Yep. Ask. What's the worst that can happen? Wait till they are almost done and it's obvious they are happy and explain you didnt get one last time and you'd really like one for the baby's memory box

Would it surprise you if I asked everytime and I always got one One time they even gave me a little frame thing, the other preggo ladies were giving me daggers

I would definitely ask! Worst they can do is say no, but at least you'll have tried - and I'm sure they won't mind. Hope they scan goes well!

Ask!! It says in one of my books the books my midwife gave me that it's not standard practice to give a picture but most of them are happy to if you want one and they have the facilities to do so, and sometimes they'll ask for a small donation for a specific fund. I have my first scan on Tuesday, I'll definately be asking!! Good Luck!!

Well we asked.. and she said "Oh this machine doesn't print out photos".. Little did she know it was the same room and same machine I had my 14 week scan on and got TWOOOO photos from Witchypoo..

No She was telling porkies lol we asked for them at the beginning of the scan.. By the end of it was when we found out about the low fluid and older placenta.. So any thought for a pic was well out the window and replaced by WHO WHAT WHERE WHEN WHY and breathe lol
