Working part time while on mat leave

I'm thinking about going to a temp agancy and seeing if I can get occasional work or a few hours a week. I only want to do a few hours a week just to bring in a little bit of money and get me out the house. Anyone know if this would affect my mat pay? I'm only looking at 10 hours a week at the most and it wouldn't be every week just when I was needed.

As far as i know hun if you do any work while on mat leave your money will stop

for every day that you worked you would loose a days SMP or MA (this includes 1/2 days), you may also want to check with your actual employers if they allow you to work for another employer

Oh poo. My boss occasionally needs someone to cover sick leave etc so I could have done an odd day now and again there.

You can work up to 10 days for your current employer and be paid for them without it affecting your SMP.

You were thinking of 10 hours maximum a week. If you did one full day a week that would be 7 hours and you could them work for 10 weeks IYSWIM.
