then when falls asleep and put into moses basket, wakes right back up again nearly immediately!

I'm getting nowt done cos she literally squeals the place down if not picked up. I have to leave her to cry in order to sterilise bottles and make up feeds.

I'm exhausted...what do I do cos she's only 6 weeks old? x

Do you have a sling hun ? because you could carry her around in that. Also sleep when shes asleep even if it means co sleeping i did it with M and still co sleep occasionaly.
Shes speant 9 months snuggles next to you constantly so shes going to need alot of cuddles as its a big change she'll want cuddles so she feels safe shes not been on her own it will get easier but for now you'll have to snuggle her. Are you swaddling ? if not that may help. It will get easier i was you a few months ago xx

Jack's been like that for a while now but only during the day. If he's not in a deep sleep when I lay him in his basket he'll wake straight back up. He doesn't cry though. But come 9pm-ish I still rock him to sleep but once he's asleep I could have a rave in the room and he would't stir! Totally understand the frustration of not getting things done!

I'm just praying he learns to self settle when he's a little older. He has just started to suck his thumb if his dummy falls out of his mouth so i'm hoping he'll settle himself with his thumb soon x

Owe was the same, co sleeping a little helped but I could never sleep properly with im there, used a sling ltos int he day, used to worry it would stop him learning to sleep on his own but it never has. Also we put him on his tum from 7ish weeks, as he would only sleep like that (had a sensor mat monitor for peace of mind) We also swaddled. which worked well.
Do you have a sling? we had the moby and it was brill
xx

AJ was the same.
I started to wrap a blanket around him so he was warm (him and the blanket) and he wasnt going straight down in a cold basket. x

I went through the same, even did a thread on it! The girls told me to put an item of clothing that I'd worn that day into his Moses basket so he could still smell me. It did work!!

My LO is 8 months old and still does this lol. We've totally spoilt him, we've cuddled him since birth and that's still what he likes. Sometimes he falls asleep on his own now, but mostly he likes to be with one of us. And if we put him in the cot he wakes up after about 10 mins crying, sometimes we get a couple of hours but it's rare!

No advice coz we are totally spoiling Ozzy lol

try puttin a hot water bottle in the moses basket where ur baby sleeps before ur gnna be puttin them down this is "supposed" to make it less of a move from ur body to a cold basket xx

Thanks for all your advice ladies! Very much appreciated.

I don't really get a chance to post that much since Avery arrived  I always end up with her in my arms sleeping and I can just about read posts, or have to type sooooooooo slow with one hand that it drives me nuts and I give up :wall2:.

Seemingly Avery has colic. Started her on colief on Friday just passed and she has been like a different baby! Still not sleeping in her moses basket though, but I've been lax with it cos of her screaming at nights due to colic.

I will begin trying out the tips you ladies have provided now that she appears more settled.

However....she's a wee rascal! Once she is set down anywhere or her position is changed, she opens one eye to check and see where she's at and if she ain't in a pair of arms...she SQUEALS!!

Now...how do I remedy that one!? x
