On cd 90 now  with possible ov according to fertility friend but it doesn't look like it to me. :(
going back to doctor's in april if no bfp but this is doing my head in now!! how long will it last? will I get another full cycle in before I go back to the doctors? will i even finish this one?!

Oh gee you poor thing; that must be sooooo frustrating for you.

My cyles are still a bit over the place but nothing like that; I did experience some that long before I had my DD though; so I can relate.

Before I had DD I started taking Wellwoman supplements and they seemed to help me regulate a bit more; not sure if it was them or just coincidence. I have been using the cheaper vitamins lately but I am goign to go back to them as I am sure they helped. DH uses Wellman too.

Good luck and I really hope this cycle ends soon for you

it is very frustrating. I want a baby now but my stupid body's just wasting time - also I never know when to bd and hubby thinks I just want sex to have a baby which isn't true. it's stressing me right out at the moment. I keep thinking it'll end soon and I'll ov soon and it never happens!

You do sounds very frustrated; which I can totally understand. Can you go back to the doctors sooner?

Wishing you all the very best of luck; hopefully you have ov'd and will get that bfp soon

I was thinking about it but I don't really see what they could do. although when he told me to keep trying that was over 20 days ago! I'd gone to see him on day 60 and thought that was bad!

I would definitely go back hun; 90 days is not right. It will at least get the ball rolling.

In the meantime; maybe start taking some women's vitamins if you aren't already..

I'm taking milk thistle, agnus castus, folic acid, multi vits, b6, flaxseed oil, iron tablets... possibly something else too - I think i rattle when i walk!

Can you go on Clomid? I don't know much about this so apologies if I am being ignorant, but do you need to go to a specialist to get it or can your GP prescribe it. I Googled it earlier and was shocked to find you can buy it from Fitness websites because if men take it, if they are bodybuilders, it can increase there testosterone or something!

obv hun i can relate- cd 50 something for me!! i would deffinately go back to gp before april hun. they can give u drugs etc to bring on af (as i havn't got to this stage yet i'm clueless about names etc) then onto clomid to get u ovulating. i believe the nhs will give u 6 attempts at clomid. have my scan today then i will be pressuring gp to start me on them!! its so frustrating i know. i have good and bad days. sometimes i just burst into tears without warning- i'm an emotional wreck!! keep hounding ur gp and they will do something!!
xx

puds - I'll leave it til i know if i have ov'd a couple days ago first. think I'll have to go back though :(

oh hun, I can imagine how incredibly frustrating you must feel. I'd definitely get yourself back to your dr's.

This is the info I got off the net on Clomid:-

Clomid is a fertility medication that is used to induce ovulation. Known as clomiphene citrate, the drug is sold under the brand names Clomid and Serophene, and is available throughout the United Kingdom. Specifically, Clomid works to stimulate a woman’s ovaries to mature an increased number of follicles every month. Because Clomid increases the number of mature follicles in the ovaries, the drug also increases the likelihood of ovulation and pregnancy.

How Does Clomid Work?

Clomid works by acting on a number of different receptors in the body that regulate hormone production and release. In particular, Clomid works to increase the amount of three hormones involved in the ovulation process, including:

gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH)
luteinizing hormone (LH)
follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)

Clomid essentially tricks the body into believing that it has lowered levels of estrogen. As a result, the brain begins to secrete increased levels of GnRH, which, in turn, stimulates the release of FSH and LH. These hormones then trigger the ovaries to begin to mature more follicles.

What is Clomid Prescribed For?

Clomid is generally prescribed for couples facing female infertility, including:

anovulation
PCOS
irregular menstruation

Clomid is also used to increase the number of follicles available for IVF treatment procedures.

Taking Clomid

Clomid is taken orally on specific days of your menstrual cycle. Depending upon your fertility clinic, you may be asked to take Clomid on Days 3-7 of your cycle, or Days 5-9 of your cycle. Dosages usually begin at 50 mg. Most women continue on this dosage for a cycle or two. If there is no improvement in ovulation, the dosage can be increased to a maximum of 200 mg per day.
Clomid is normally taken for a maximum of six cycles, after which use will be discontinued if it proves ineffective and another type of infertility treatment will be recommended. Occasionally, Clomid will be combined with additional hormonal medications.

thank you for the info spaceangel it was really useful
xx

No worries Puds. Hopefully a bit of medication will be all that you need so that you can still conceive naturally. Sounds like you may need some medical help to regulate your cycle, but again, I am no expert!! :D

thanks girls and thanks for all that info space angel! :D :D

will definitely see the doctor again... sometime (I hate going back when I've kinda been told not to! I'm such a chicken!!!)

I totally feel your pain

I would go back to your drs now and ask him to try and get things going with the fertility specialist.

They will most probably do some tests and they might put you onto clomid or they might be a different solution. My FS only put me on to clomid as last resort. I really do not recommend buying it online...(not that you have said that you are :) )
