Hi all. Well after 4 visits to various doctors a chest X-ray and a referral to a pediatrition my 2 year old was diagnosed with whooping cough. He has had all his vaccinations as did I in pregnancy. It's been horrible. 3 months of him being very poorly. Not eating no energy. Coughing fits 10-20 times a day which resulted in vomiting several times a day. Anyway finally on the mend and no my 10 month old is showing similar symptoms so have a gp appointment later today. Not wanting to start a debate about immunisations as I fully agree for each parent to decide what's best for their child but wanted to highlight that whooping cough is out there and a nasty illness. Because my son had been immunised the doctor said he probably didn't get the worse kind but believe me what he had was bad enough.
