When to put TENS machine on

Hi All

Just wondered what stage you all put your TENS machines on. I have hired one and it occurred to me I have no idea when to put it on !! (I suppose it depends on how your labour starts etc)

Hey *glow*,

I got mine delivered today (also hiring on a 6 week hire) and the instructions say to put it on at the very onset of labour as this will work with your natural pain endorphin things and get the best out of using it.

Try it on your wrist! They made us do this at antenatal class at the weekend - very bizarre!

I put mine on straight away and was advised by the midwife to keep it on the whole time (unless you are getting into a pool or having an epidural). Apparently it takes a while to build up good pain relief but mine worked quite quickly. I cannot recommend it enough!
