When to introduce a cup?

I introduced a cup for water and juice at 4-5 months. She still has her milk from a bottle but I'm not buying anymore teats now so when this lot are done with she'll have her milk from a beaker too- she'll probably be 11 months by then

She couldn't drink out of it properly until she was about 6 months but like playing around with it and spitting wate rall over the place!!!
With the others it was 4 months! Lola I give it her now!
If you can get a inbetween cup! They sell them at asda! Its like a bottle but you can change they teat for a soft cup type thing lol! And they have handles! Lola also has a Tommee Tippee cup too! Little hard for her to use but the more I give it her the better she gets with it!
I just give them water for months but then when they are older, try some milk in them!

when people talk about their LOs drinking out of a cup- does that mean holding the cup themselves?
ive been giving Anjali drinks out of glasses or out of sports-tops bottled water for months but havent tried getting her to handle them herself...should i be letting her experiment with tipping water all over herself?

my Lo has one of those free flow tommee tippee cups with the plastic spout.

My LO has these too. I introduced a cup with water when i started weaning him. He has started using it properly the last couple of weeks. at first he didn't really know what to do with it
