I keep looking online at all the sales. Prams, cots, all the big things really, and keep thinking is it too early?
Lots of things are so much cheaper just now because of the sales and i would save so much money buying some things just now!
Has anyone started buying things this early? x

IMHO whenever you feel ready is the right time x

i bought only a few tiny bits before my 20 week scan, then after 20 week scan i got cot, pushchair at 24 weeks, and just started collecting from there! i am now fully kitted out, i dont mind 2nd hand stuff at all, so been given bits too. go for it whenever you feel ready to! x

I had a private scan lastweek so i know everything ok with baby. I might just start then cos i want to be organised and not leave it all until the last minute. x

i shopped early cos of sales etc... and am a bargain hunter anyway lol! shop away... i do not thinking buying early causes miscarriage... its having to face looking at the stuff but at ur stage realistically worst comes to worst ull have to deal with loadsa stuff anyway! so buy away , its therapeutic therefore good for u and bubs! xx

I havent even bought a single babygro yet. Kiddicare have a great sale on just now and i dont want to miss out. My mum mentioned lastweek if i buy a pram i can keep it at hers for now until nearer May incase god forbid anything happens. x

i did that with pram lol... i had been bought a stroler off my nan before i had mc first time!! and it didnt bother me at all... she was gonna return it and i said no dont therell be another baby stick it in the loft! its now in use!! xx

Totally agree with the others its a personal thing and when and if you feel happy buying then buy! Myself, dh and dd chose one little thing each the day we had our 12 week scan, then after a 20 week scan we bought a few more bits then have just been buying when we saw things we needed. Staying team yellow so not bought any clothes as such yet other than loads of vests and baby grows! Got everything now tho and had all the big stuff for weeks so if you happy buying now go for it and ENJOY!!! xxx

I'm only 15 weeks, the only thing I have really done is put some money down towards the pram a few days before Xmas. I keep thinking oh no have I done it too early but I saw the one I wanted an am paying it off bit by bit. Were doing it aswel so don't end up having to buy things all at once an leave ourselves skint! My mum also bought some bibs and mittens. I'm gonna wait till after 20week scan now though! Xxx

I've started getting stuff in now, last thing I want is shoping when I'm heavly pregnant its no fun what so ever, guna get my pram after new year/ first week off jan, I'm not being all suspicous about it this time, me being ready will make no diffrence if something happens to baby, look at the babys who die off cot death or still born, so I'm guna enjoy it while I can!

id buy now as its in the sales andd save yourself some money :)

I agree go for it when you are ready and make the most of the sales! My parents bought us our buggy today and it does seem quite early but there was a sale on and it means getting in there before the VAT rise too so worth it in my view x

I'm 23 weeks on Friday and have not bought a thing. I've decided on the pram, just need to go and pay for it now. I'll probably not buy anything more until January at this stage. Don't know what I need which is another reason lol.

I have just bought all our big stuff in the sale - cot, mattress, dresser unit, all bedding, steriliser and bottles and the pram - must have saved well over £250 just getting it in the sale, so well chuffed - and means we can start building up the nursery. Some bargins are too good to miss!

Before this, I hadnt bought a thing, just didnt feel right, but that has been taken over by my urge to save money, lol!
x

Oooh it's so exciting getting some of the big things! I'm really excited now that we've got the buggy (and we had a cot which we bought second hand already and a feeding chair) - starts to make it all so real!! xx

I've seen some real bargains in the sales but just haven't got the room to store big stuff like buggy or crib...so alas me and OH have decided we are better to wait till end of march/beginning of April before buying. Just hope there are some great Spring sales on then - and in the meantime I'll stock up on little bits and bobs that I can get in the sales....

defo each to their own. I will prob start buying after my 20 week scan when i know what sex baby is i wasted a lot of money on my first child buying white things and stupidly when he was born a born felt the need to replace everything with blue lol. I think if you have the space to store things and you want to catch the sales why not just start. In the sales ive been tempted to pick up blue baby growws and things have no idea why but have stopped myselfe lol some great sales on prams on kiddicare the now xx

We have bought a few bits so far. The moses basket had £10 off and the cotbed was half price so we have bought those. We are just waiting for the 20 week scan before we can buy some cute outfits. xx
