I work on a gynea ward in a hospital so it's going to be pretty hard keeping it a secret for long! Plus I could get cheeky early scan! I've only been in my current role since early December so although my boss is lovely I'm scared she's going to be annoyed! When are you telling work?

I'm waiting until my first scan, I think somebody at work knows already anyway as I have stopped going to the gym and wasn't drinking on Saturday when we went out oops! X

I told mine when I was 13 weeks, the week after my first scan! Mainly because I didn't have the balls to do it any sooner haha I was terrified of telling my boss because there's a lot of people on maternity at my college but luckily I am only part time and they wouldn't have a problem covering what I teach! She was really nice about it and stuff and pointed me in the direction of accounts so I can get my maternity sorted sooner rather than later xx

Had to tell my boss and colleagues straight away...I work in a care home and do a lot of manual handling so had to tell them as there are some residents I wont be able to deal with

Haven't told my boss yet, as she wasn't very supportive of my first pregnancy. I think I'm going to try and wait until after my 12week scan. I work in retail and have to help unload deliveries, use cleaning chemicals and occasionally have to go up ladders etc, so might have to tell my boss sooner if I feel at risk.

I think after our early scan. Theres a few things I cant do at work and as its a new desk for me I want to make sure they have adequate time for cover planning.

Im telling my work girls next Fri when we go put, Ill not be drinking after being so up for it ages ago  so may aswell tell the boss the following Monday.

Ill be 8w+ at my early scan hopefully.

I got a promotion, then told them at 8 weeks...They have been amazing and so supportive when I have been wobbly. If you feel you need to tell them, tell them. They cannot show annoyance as it may be seen as discrimination. You'll be fine. Do it when it feels right. Xxx

I'll prob tell my boss the next time I see him. If they know, then you don't have to make up time for any appointments and it doesn't count if you call in sick x

I told my boss straight away only because I sometimes have to carry heavy things and can't do that now !

I found out today and will be telling my boss n Monday. I'm a mental health nurse, so have to really.
I'm really excited to tell her as she's lovely.
It's my colleagues I want to keep it from for now. I'm just going to say I have pulled a muscle, so can't get involved in restraints.

I told my boss after my early scan 8+. I just put my scan letters on her desk and she emailed to congrats me.

I tld the consultants I work for today one says he guessed with my blouse open (with a tshirt under) and flushed cheeks.

Where do you work Claire?

Two work colleagues already know (almost puked on them both :/) but im going to tell my boss on monday after an early scan. I dont know why im so nervous about it. I dont want her to move me onto days! Lol have to hold my ground. I wasnt going to say until 12 weeks but im a nurse in a care home so a risk assessment and such needs to be done in the meantime.

I work for the Beatson Cancer Center in Glasgow hun.

Yeah it is hard being in such a busy enviro being pregnant without outing yoursef by puking or something.

Im lucky ive not been sick this time. Last time i puked non stop, should have just wore a sign.

My problem is that its just me and one carer theres not much i can delegate so just have to lump it lol. Ive def gotten much slower and have to stop for a drink all the time staff are starting to notice already. im dreading what ill be like when ive a full bump!

I'm telling my boss Monday and terrified! She's lost a lot of staff recently for one reason and another so don't think she's going to be too happy!! :-/ xxx

I told mine as soon as we found out. Mainly because my job is stressful and also because of previous losses. He's really good and know he won't tell anyone else x

Tri hopping!! I told my boss at about 8 weeks as I'm a teacher but work with kids with ASN so needed a risk assessment. Russelmuscle my aunt works at the Beatson :) xx
