when are you safe?

sorry i have another one! i have so many quaestions that i can't seem to find the answers to in my books...

what week is your little bean safe? i always thought 12 weeks - end of first trimester but my doc said 8 to 10 weeks... i just want to get passed the first few weeks.

I think what your doctor said is right. it's just that people usually say 12 weeks as they like to get through the first trimester before telling people.

I hope that this is right.

Hello

Apparently risks decrease every week you get through. 8 weeks and 10 weeks are both landmarks.

The placenta takes over the care of the baby at 13-14 weeks so that's a good stage too.

it's going well... don't really feel much different - have to remind myself not to go picking up heavy loads...

I just have a dull pain low down but it seems to be fading today!
